We are at Alert Level 3 for the next 48 hours, schools are now closed to all except those who are considered as essential businesses. A list of essential businesses can be viewed here.

Tomorrow those staff that are able will be at school planning for at home learning.

For those students who will be attending school tomorrow and/or Wednesday the buses will run in the morning. Maungatua and Momona routes will run as normal. Janet will be driving the Maungatua route rather than George, therefore Janet’s run will run slightly later than usual (apart for those that get on in Mosgiel).

If you are an essential worker and your child will be at school tomorrow, please tell them to come to the school hall. We will assemble here for the roll and make a plan for the day based on how many children turn up.

Also can you please confirm with Carolyn tomorrow morning if you require your child to attend After School Care. It will run as normal for Tuesday and Wednesday if needed, but will close from 5pm Wednesday.

From midnight Wednesday in accordance with Alert Level 4 all schools will be closed for everyone for a minimum of 4 weeks.

Tomorrow our teachers will be putting together a list of home learning ideas. Remember, home is not school and it would be hard to mirror the school day of learning. Spend time with your children preparing food, cleaning and doing all those tasks that we complete each day. Play a board game, do some gardening, play a game. Routine is good for us all.

We will keep in touch as more information comes in. We will do this via School Stream App, email and our school website. We will be able to answer the phone for the next 2 days as well if you have any questions. I urge you to keep calm and carry on. Be strong and be kind.
